AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

One of the first things I noticed is that it does not have any scent, which I think is great. Fragrances in skincare can sometimes cause irritation, so it is nice to have something simple and gentle.
The texture feels rich and hydrating but it does not sit heavily on the skin. It absorbs really well and leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturised without that greasy or oily feeling you sometimes get with thicker creams.
Overall, I think it is a really solid everyday moisturiser, especially if you have sensitive or dry skin. It just does what it says without any fuss, and sometimes that is exactly what you need.

Oily skin friendly

It has a light and smooth application that leaves the skin feeling refreshed and smooth, and has a lovely scent that is gentle on the sinuses too! No skin or sinus irritation here!
...and this from someone who gets sinus reactions (hello sneezing and sinus burn) and skin reactions (including rosacea, itching, burning, and breakouts) to most skincare products, including many that claim to be for sensitive skin. This one doesn't do ANY of these to me! Finally!
This Cetaphil moisturiser has truly stood out from the rest in being truly kind and gentle on the skin, and a light application that doesn't feel like it's sticky or weighting your skin down. I've had no irritation on my skin or in my sinuses and it's SO NICE to finally find a moisturiser that works for me...
I've not been able to continue using any moisturiser for around ten years now due to my skin and sinus reactions, but I have now found one, thanks to Cetaphil!
