MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

General Information
Benzac AC Moderate Strength 5% Acne Wash is effective at unblocking pores and killing acne-causing bacteria on your chest and back. Formulated with Acrylates Copolymer and Glycerin, this Benzoyl Peroxide-based wash soaks up excess oils and rehydrates the skin to leave it feeling soft and smooth.
Benzac AC Moderate Strength 5% Acne Wash is an effective wash for treating acne on your chest and back. With antimicrobial Benzoyl Peroxide and Acrylates Copolymer (AC) technology to soak up excess oils and release Glycerin, this wash kills the breakout-causing P. acnes bacteria and clears pores, blackheads and whiteheads while rehydrating your skin at the same time. Directions
Simply use in the shower as the first step in your three-step acne routine, washing your chest and back (but you can also use it on your face): wet the area you want to cleanse, work into a lather, apply then leave for 30 seconds before washing off and patting dry. Follow with your acne treatment of choice before finishing by applying a moisturiser.
Start off using Benzac AC Moderate Strength 5% Acne Wash once daily, before working up to twice-daily applications. During the first weeks of treatment, a sudden increase in peeling will occur in most people; this will normally subside within a day or two if treatment is temporarily stopped.

Works wonder on my back acne!
I've suffered from back acne for a few years now (35yo woman) since I've gotten off birth control.
The break outs have been really bad and scaring was an issue.
Since using this product I have seen a significant reduction in new pimples emerging and the existing ones have reduce and or vanished. I am so grateful to find this product and that it worked for me. I now feel more comfortable showing my back and not being self conscious.

Great for bad acne
Bought this as a replacement for proactiv face wash and am very impressed. We tried everything before finding proactiv which was the only thing that worked for my daughter. I couldn’t find it anywhere so was very reluctant to change brands. This is supposed to be a body wash, but has the same ingredients as the proactiv step 1. It does bleach the towels, but so did the proactiv. Great replacement.

Effective acne wash that is surprisingly gentle.
I used to use this 10 years ago and have recently started using this with the La Roche-Posay Micro-peeling Foaming Cleanser in the shower and my skin has never been smoother and my complection is much more even. I will never stray from the Benzac AC Wash again! It says that it is a chest and back wash but I use it on my face and it gives me great results. Very impressed with both cleansers.

My sister loves her benzac but look out for bleach
My sister absolutely loves her benzac wash I got her! She started seeing a difference within a week and was so thrilled to see her back clearing up after struggling with acne for so long. The only thing I would flag (not a criticism, just wanting to alert others) is that, as the wash contains bleach, if you don’t wash it off thoroughly enough your towel and/or clothes may lose some colour. My sister uses the same towel to dry her back afterwards and it is patchy blue and cream coloured now. She says it is so worth it though!!

Back wash to clear acne
I've used this back wash for months now and whenever I get bad breakouts on my back it always helps with clearing painful pimples in a matter of days.
You do need to have a shower every single morning/night though and apply it thoroughly to your back, in order to see results! You need to leave it on as directed on the packaging.
Be careful because if you dont wash it all off, it will rub onto your clothes/towels and leave bleach-like stains!
When applying it onto your skin there is no pain or discomfort whatsoever!
